The Chief Executive Officer for iCPAR Mr. Amin Miramago said, “the initiative of visiting the survivors was in line with the national commemoration program to remember those who were killed in the Genocide against the Tutsi in 1994, but also reflect together with the survivors on what happened in 1994, why it happened and what they should do to ensure that the incident does not happen again.” He reiterated iCPAR’s commitment to supporting government efforts in fighting the genocide ideology as a way of rebuilding Rwanda.

Mr. Bernard Banzige who is one of survivors of the Genocide living in Uruyange Village, expressed his appreciation to the management and staff of iCPAR and CMA and said “We are really grateful for the support we received, we are very happy that people outside there think about us, since we have many challenges and this support gives us hope for a brighter future”

This is part of our responsibilities and one of our core values to help the society is mainly to support survivors of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi and we regularly visit them across the country and our activities will not stop here,” said the Director of Finance and Administration at CMA, Mrs. Clarisse Umutoni in her message.
